In order to provide you with a quote, we will need a rough sketch with measurements. Bring it with you when you plan to shop for stone.
Visual aids are great. Bring your samples with you. A door off your cabinets allows you to see how the stone looks when the two are paired.
Your cabinets should be installed and everything cleared off the countertop area. No need to remove any existing countertops or sinks at this time. The fabricator will come to your home and make a template. From this template, your stone will be cut to custom fit your kitchen. This is your opportunity to speak with your fabricator about specifics.
Plan on installation taking all day. Everything will need to be removed from the countertops and a clear path needs to be wide enough to bring the stone inside your home. Remember those stones can weigh several hundred pounds. Make sure children, pets and adults stay clear of the slab. Move all the breakables and sentimental items out of the way.
